Glens Falls received $9.7 million in 2017, in the first round of NYS Downtown Revitalization Initiative grants. Goals of the project, which was completed in 2025, included envigorating mixed-use and walkable neighborhoods; improving public health; generating opportunities for the next-generation workforce; providing infrastructure for existing and new residents and businesses; and promoting Glens Falls as a regional destination for arts and entertainment.
